Brief
Microsoft briefed us on an awareness campaign on Amazon.fr. This was to be part of a broader campaign from Microsoft and Intel bringing attention on Windows 10 PC laptops and competing against Apple and Chromebook products. An awareness campaign on Amazon.fr is something they had never done before, so the expectations were high.
INSIGHT
Data shows that purchasing a laptop online can be difficult with a wide variety of products, features, performances and price tags. 40% abandon PC shopping online because it is too complex. Also, 49% rate emotion as the #1 factor to connect with a brand. Our challenge was to give our customers the info they need to make an informed decision while creating awareness about the great capabilities of Windows 10 PC laptops.
SoLUTION
We created an interactive video experience, featuring Romain Lanéry, a successful tech content creator (+1m subscribers on YT) It follows a decision tree logic. Romain engages customers directly, guiding them through the different categories and features that might suit their needs the best.
The experience
Romain introduces customers to 4 categories: productivity, multimedia, gaming and creativity. For each option, they are asked a dive deep question regarding specific features, such as screen size, performances, mobility, etc. After this last step, they are provided with a selection of up to 3 laptops plus 2 accessories .
